Originally from Monett, Missouri, Dr. Jason K. Lowry is a Board-Certified, Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in adult reconstruction of the hip, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Lowry specializes in direct anterior hip replacement and robotic total and partial knee replacement.
Since 2015, Dr. Lowry has served as Director of the Total Joint Department at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic & Spine Hospital in Arlington.
Dr. Lowry received his Doctorate of Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine (Omaha, NE) in 2003. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2008; his Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the world-renowned Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics’ Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement in Baltimore, Maryland was completed in 2012.
Dr. Lowry proudly served in the US Air Force as an Officer & Orthopedic Surgeon, stationed at Langley AFB, VA from 2008-2011. In 2009, he was deployed to Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi & Enduring Freedom.
Dr. Lowry has been practicing in the communities of Arlington, Mansfield, and Midlothian since 2012. In 2017, he was recognized as a Distinguished Medical Member of the American Arthritis Foundation and has been consistently recognized by his Orthopedic peers and the community as a Top Doc, Super Doc, and Reader’s Choice All-Star in North Texas. “I treat my patients like family,” he says. “Getting folks back on their feet and enjoying life again is quite rewarding.”
Dr. Lowry provides volunteer coverage for Pantego Christian Academy’s Athletic Department, where his children attend school in Arlington. Aside from his many accomplishments as an Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Lowry enjoys spending time with his family attending their kids’ sporting events, fly fishing, and traveling.
