Originally from Marble Falls, Texas; Dr. Christopher Hopkins specializes in complex wrist and elbow trauma and minimally invasive techniques including endoscopic and arthroscopic surgery. He performs a “suture free” endoscopic carpal tunnel release technique.
After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in June of 2008, he then received his Doctor of Medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch in May of 2012, Orthopedic Residency at The Campbell Clinic (Memphis, Tennessee) in June of 2017 and Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital in July of 2017.
In addition to his medical accomplishments, Dr. Hopkins is also an avid runner and enjoys participating in marathons. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter, reading, weight training and playing tennis. When asked about his perfect day, Dr. Hopkins replied, “Going for a long run in the morning and hanging out at the lake with my friends and family.”
My approach to hand care begins with listening carefully to each patient’s concerns, goals, and daily functional needs. I focus on restoring movement, strength, and independence while effectively managing pain. Whenever possible, I prioritize the safest and least invasive treatments, using surgery only when necessary. Through patient education and shared decision-making, my goal is to deliver durable results that improve function and quality of life.
