Dr. Jonathan Boyle was drawn to medicine by the opportunity to combine science with service. His interest in orthopedics began after experiencing a significant injury as a teenager, which gave him a firsthand appreciation for how orthopedic care can restore function and quality of life.

Dr. Jonathan Boyle was drawn to medicine by the opportunity to combine science with service. His interest in orthopedics began after experiencing a significant injury as a teenager, which gave him a firsthand appreciation for how orthopedic care can restore function and quality of life. That experience continues to shape his approach to patient care today.

He chose to specialize in hand and upper extremity, because of the variety and complexity it offers. From delicate surgical interventions to effective in-office treatments, Dr. Boyle values the balance this subspecialty brings. He enjoys working closely with patients to diagnose their conditions and develop a customized care plan that fits their goals.

Dr. Boyle is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship-trained in hand surgery at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, one of the most respected programs in the country. He completed his orthopedic residency at John Peter Smith Hospital, following medical school at UT Southwestern. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame with dual majors in biology and theology.

As surgical techniques have advanced, Dr. Boyle has embraced new technologies such as endoscopic carpal tunnel release and other minimally invasive procedures. These innovations often lead to faster recovery times, less postoperative discomfort, and better overall outcomes for patients.

Dr. Boyle joined Orthopedic Associates because of the team’s strong culture of collaboration and commitment to excellence. Originally from Coppell, he is proud to return to the area to serve his home community and continue a tradition of high-quality care.

He believes in a shared decision-making model where patients are empowered with knowledge and included in the treatment planning process. His goal is to get patients back to the activities they enjoy with restored function and confidence.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Boyle enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His personal interests include ice hockey, golf, snowboarding, computers, and cooking. He previously served as a team physician for the Odessa Jackalopes minor league hockey team and remains a passionate supporter of the sport.
