Dr. Runner

Dr. Runner

Dr. Robert P. Runner is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special focus on adult reconstruction, particularly knee and hip reconstruction and replacement. His extensive educational background and fellowship training includes a residency at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Runner previously held an academic position teaching USC and Harbor UCLA residents, as well as an assistant professor role at Corewell Health. With a focus on hip and knee replacement, Dr. Runner treats a full spectrum of conditions affecting these areas, including arthritis and the many forms it takes among individuals. He is committed to restoring function and quality of life for his patients with advanced treatment techniques and helpful guidance as they continue on the road to better health.

Dr. Runner is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and practiced in Atlanta, California, Michigan, while his wife was finishing her training and is now settled down in Texas. His wife, Maggie is a retina surgeon with Retina Center of Texas. He enjoys spending time out on the water at Lake Grapevine, wake surfing, and waterskiing with his family. He also enjoys pickleball and staying active with his dog Rolo.

My goal is to treat patient’s the same way I would any family member. Our goal is to restore function and get you back to being you. We can achieve those goals together by talking about your options and exploring both nonsurgical and surgical treatment plans to help get you back to enjoying life with less pain and better function.
