Dr. Hurt

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Hurt was an Echols Scholar and Distinguished Honors Biology Major at University of Virginia. He studied medicine and received his MD from Vanderbilt University in Nashville where he was honored to stay and complete his Orthopaedic Residency.

After nine years in Nashville, Dr. Hurt completed a one year Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA before moving to Texas to start his private practice career in 2003. He is a former assistant team physician for the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Burn. Dr. Hurt has presented his research to a variety of orthopaedic meetings and symposiums across the nation, and has been published in a number of top medical journals. Dr. Hurt is happily married with three wonderful children and loves quality family time, lake life, daily workouts, running and golfing.
